Therapy dog and training  A new therapy dog will provide comfort by curling up with Children's Hospital patients who are very ill and have limited mobility. The new dog will be a medium-sized breed, about the size of a spaniel, so as not to scare smaller children who might be afraid of dogs. Specialized therapy dog training will also be needed before the dog can be used in the program.
